Budget Justification
Personnel Costs: The majority of the funding is dedicated to staffing a full-service, trauma-informed program. Personnel includes licensed professionals and trained veteran peer coaches, ensuring daily support and emotional safety. Each staff member plays a critical role in supporting veterans emotionally, clinically, and operationally.
Operational & Program Expenses: These costs ensure that the program remains accessible, secure, and scalable. Educational materials help veterans understand emotional trauma, RSD, and ADHD. Technology subscriptions power secure video coaching and automated communication with veterans. Print journals and physical workbooks promote self-reflection and are integral to emotional rebuilding.
Outreach & Travel: Travel funding allows trainers to present workshops, visit VA partners, and meet with veterans who are unable to connect online. Marketing and outreach ensure the program reaches its targeted populations, especially in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
This budget ensures that Veterans of the Storm is fully staffed, scalable, and capable of reducing suicide risk by directly serving emotionally overwhelmed, neurodivergent, and trauma-impacted veterans.
