I’ve survived the darkest parts of ADHD — not the hyperactive childhood version they warn parents about, but the **internalized, misunderstood, emotionally volatile adult version** that ruins relationships, destroys self-worth, and pushes people to the edge.

Recent research highlights the increased risk of suicidal behavior in those with ADHD. A study published in The Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry found that about 14% of youth with ADHD reported considering suicide, compared to 5% of their peers without ADHD. The presence of co-occurring conditions like anxiety and depression significantly elevates this risk. Youth with both ADHD and depression are nearly three times more likely to attempt suici
